Parish Prayer
Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: help us so to hear them, to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them that, through patience, and the comfort of your holy word, we may embrace and for ever hold fast the hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. AMEN
Collect for the 2nd Sunday in Advent
Together with our Parish Mission Statement our Theme scripture is;
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God,
and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love”
1 John 4: 7-8

Andrea’s & Penny’s Summer Plants and Planters
As my annual visit to Welsh plant nurseries takes place soon we are taking orders for planters and hanging baskets which, weather permitting, will be ready at the end of May beginning of June to give a lovely long flowering display throughout the summer. We are also taking limited orders for hardy fuchsias and there will be various perennials. Thankyou for the support for our plants. We are very grateful.
&
Andrea’s & Penny’s Plants
We are putting out a plea for any 1, 2 or 3 litre plant pots please. We use so many of these sizes with our plants and are running low on stock. We do not need any of the very small 9cm pots.
Please leave them either at the office, St Peter’s Church or Penny or Andreas’ houses.
Thank you
Penny's Marmalades update: - the bad news and the good!
Sadly due to
increasing costs, from 1 March I will be asking for a donation of £2.50
per jar for my marmalades (and jam in season). I hope you will all still
think they are good value and continue to buy, as all money goes to St Peter's
church fundraising.
I would like to
thank everyone who has returned their empty jars but at present I don't need
anymore as I have a jar mountain in my garage! If I may, I'll let you
know when I need replenishing.
The good
news: to help use these empty jars and donate a bit towards general
Parish funds, from 1 March I'll donate 50% of any jars sold to St Mary's and St
Martin's congregations/friends, to Winkfield funds, so please get those orders
coming in! 🙂
Thanks to all who
have supported me in the past, and I hope you will continue to do so in the
future. Any queries, please contact me on pstringer51@hotmail.co.uk or 01344 308646/ 07871 440196.

the summer, at church.
