The Eight O’clock service

 
Book of Common PrayerEach Sunday, a said service of Holy Communion, using the Book of Common Prayer is held in one of the churches within the Benefice.

The service moves around as follows:

 

  • on the first and third Sundays of the month the service is held in St Peter's, Cranbourne
  • on the second and fourth Sundays of the month the service is held at St Mary's, Winkfield

and

  • on a fifth Sunday, the service is held at St Martin's, Chavey Down.

 

This is a quiet and reflective service with a short homily rather than a sermon.

It is greatly valued by its regular congregation.

The service usually lasts about 45 minutes.
