If you are planning to visit our churches to attend one of our services - we will be delighted to see you. This page gives you further information that might help you plan your visit and help you 'feel at home'.
St Martin's: there is a car park at the side of the church and it is also possible to park on Church Road.
St Mary's: there are a number of spaces on the forecourt, additional parking (in marked bays) may be available in front of Popel's Hall and it is possible to park on Church Road.
St Peter's: it is possible to park on Hatchet Lane.
All three churches are accessible by wheelchair users. St Martin's and St Peter's have cloakroom facilities accessible to wheelchair users.
Everyone, including young children, is welcome at our churches. At St Martin's we run a crèche most Sundays, at St Mary's we have toys to help keep your younger ones amused and at St Peter's we have a children's area.
St Martin's cloakrooms are within the church hall.
St Mary's cloakrooms are at the back of the church.
St Peter's cloakrooms are in a separate block outside the church.
When to arrive
You should aim to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled service to allow yourself time to collect a hymn book, service sheet and take a seat.
During each service there is usually an offering taken for the work of the church. If you are a taxpayer, we would be grateful if you could put any donation in a Gift Aid envelope and fill in your name and address etc. This enables us to claim the tax back.
You are welcome to take communion if you would usually take communion at your own church. If you would rather come to the altar rail for a blessing, please take your service sheet with you as an indication of this.
Make yourself known!
Please introduce yourself to:
- the person who 'meets and greets you' at the door and, at the end of the service,
- the minister who has led the service.
